2012 Technical Achievement Award

The recipient of the 2012 Technical Achievement Award was to Professor Hisashi Ninokata (left in photo) formerly at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and presently at Politecnico di Milano. His award was deliverd by Professor Paul Turinsky (center in photo) representing the ANS Awards Committee as the present committee chair. Professor Ninokata has added significant technical contribution within subchannel analysis of thermal hydraulics and advancements within computational fluid dynamics over the course of his career. Professor Ninokata delivered his awards presentation in Atlanta Geogria during the 2013 ANS Annual Meeting. The presentation focused on developments within the area of subchannel analysis.
